i3 Platinum unresponsive?

Post by FlyintTexan » Sat Aug 02, 2025 11:53 pm
I received my unit today and plugged it into my laptop (Mine into PC) where it updated. Went out to my 2014 2500HD 6.0l (Mine is 2005 Dodge Neon SRT4 2.4T) and plugged it in. The screen powers up and asks about terms and conditions, sometimes it seems it never registers any touches. I got a tune once but then it locked up and now keeps saying to wait while the tool reboots.

Copied since it came in search. Ran my battery dead, "put a charger on it" is hind sight now. Tuner is connected to computer via USB and still says "Please Wait while the Tool Reboots!"

I did see message earlier that "another tune" had been loaded. This was prior to my buying the car. Help please.

Ok, Left I3 unit unconnected from everything over night, put battery charger on car. This morning I connected I3 to computer and it was fine, booted up like it did yesterday the first time. Reconnected it to car and verified changes to tune and it worked flawlessly. I will not pretend to know anything about tuning, but I am learning.

To explain, I copied a post with close to the same problem. My vehicle is a 2005 Dodge Neon SRT4. I updated and scanned my vehicle as the instructions stated. I made changes to tune and ran the "tune" function. All without hooking up a battery charger. Killed the battery and hung the I3 on the "Please Wait...Rebooting" message. I hooked it up to my PC in the hope it would recover, it did not recover. I left it unplugged over night and it "self recovered". I re connected to my car and it 'completed'. I was VERY distraught considering the expense and time I spent. However, after leaving the car on a charger overnight and while completing install, all is well. I want to clearly state the I3 is a great investment for tuning.

I do have one question, where is the tire adjustment function? Want my speedo to be close to correct.
