i2 issue

Post by Wolfyslayer »

Hello my father in law recently bought a dodge ram 1500 2007 and with it came an intune i2 and when i plugged it in to the car it wanted me to update so on the computer i went to update using the update agent 1.0 from the support page and it went well to install i saw the different install percentages go up and after awhile it rebooted and got stuck on logo and now it wont start anymore. Im located in sweden so can't really call support but i emailed them and i hope there is something i can do to fix it with their help or if you guys have some suggestions on what i can do to fix it since it is not mine and don't want to break it when i talked about it with him he seemed upset about it getting stuck.

really tough to say what happened here. flash failures are usually the result of an interruption or voltage drop. The device should be in recovery and keep trying to finish the flash. Make sure it has good voltage and try again.

oh, the i2 wont boot up. OK, thats a problem. We could get the pcm in for recovery but it sounds like thats not gonna be easy. May need to find a local dodge service location to have it reflashed.

That’s a tough spot, especially since it’s not your truck. If the Intune i2 is stuck on the logo, the update likely failed and soft-bricked it. Try reconnecting it to a PC with a different USB cable/port and see if the update agent can detect it in recovery mode.
