yes, connect to the vehicle first, then launch dv2, then connect the USB cable.

Hello Mike, I think this is the file you requested. There was another file (nhtsa type) that was created at the same time so let me know if thats the correct one and I will send it over. Thank you again for your help

Lets try removing hte old DV1 driver:

First go into "Installed apps" (Win11) or Apps and Features (Win10) and remove the drivers there. He can search by typing in "diablo". It will look something like this depending on the versions of the driver he has installed. There may be more than one entry. Try to remove them all

Hello Mike, So I searched for those files you mentioned and I didn't see any. So I did a complete re-boot of my laptop. Once it came back online I downloaded DV2 and tried again. I connected he tool to my Jeep, then ignition on, then opened up DV2 and then connected the tool to the laptop. I got a message on my laptop recognizing T2 drive but nothing from the DV2 software. I clicked on connct and nothing happens. What's next my friend? Could a person remote into my laptop? Do you know of a local tuner/shop in the Denver area I could go to for in person help?

Try plugging your device into your pc. Don't run any software. Open Device Manager on your PC (right click on the start button in Win11 and select Device Manager from the menu).
Under Ports(COM & LPT) delete the diablo COM port. Make sure he checks the “Attempt to remove the driver for this device” check box. Verbiage may be slightly different in Win10. If there is a COM port with a question mark or exclamation point, I forget which, delete that one too. Unplug the i3, reboot then install the newest drivers. Plug the device in and make sure it show up with no conflicts in device manager.

Mike, there are no diablo COM ports at all. Maybe that is part of the issue. Either way I attached a screen shot of the device manager showing the data for you to see.
