if ya want, email me that log file you already have (the one without the AFR data) and I'll take a look at it manually line by line and check your numbers.

In the meantime, go ahead and go do another log, but remember to log the Air Fuel Ratio as well as the other items.

The sticky/tutorial here has the listing of the required parameters to log, as well as the info on how to do the log correctly:

air fuel ratio (Equivalence Ratio) *
commanded throttle position (or Accelerator Pedal Position) *
engine speed (RPM) *
long term fuel trim bank 1 *
spark advance
total knock spark retard

* -- these parameters are REQUIRED in order to use the DSLogRedux application!

For those with duals (goats, vette's, trucks, etc), you'll also want to log "Long Term Fuel Trim Bank 2"...

NEW ANNOUNCEMENT!

Now that the new 7192, 7193, 7195, and 7198 Predators (revs. 9rXX only) are being shipped, we can announce that DSLogRedux is already able to support these new log files.

Get the latest DSLogRedux version (6.1.1) from our site ( http://www.dslogredux.com ), and you'll be able to analyze your new log files!!

there are some certain parameters that these older vehicles' PCM's do not have and therefore cannot log (compared to newer vehicles ECM's), however, we have made changes in DSLogRedux that will detect this in a log file, and will prompt you with further information.

NEW UPDATE AVAILABLE!!

Thanks to fellow DSLogRedux user Randy (Redgto04 on Diablo forums), it was brought to our attention that he was not able to obtain any WOT data information or adjustment recommendations using his new, logging-capable, U7193 Predator. Well, this is because those "older" tools/vehicles do not have an AFR parameter to report. So, without knowing the current AFR at WOT, we can not, in good conscience, make any recommendations as to what adjustments one should make in order to obtain the desired 12.6-12.8 AFR at WOT.

So, we have added an additional informational popup regarding WOT data support and info/recommendations for U7192, U7193, U7195, U7198 logs - to let the users of those tools know that since these tools/vehicles do not report an AFR parameter, no WOT data will be analyzed nor will information/recommendations for adjustments be provided, since this is a crucial piece of data information that is not available.

nothing you need man... re-read the info above... app works fine, no functionality changes. only thing that was added was additional info in a popup window (which you would never see anyway) for the older tool users, explaining to them that WOT data/info is not given, because their tools/vehicles do not have the AFR parameter available.

so, stop your whining... you been hangin' around Mike too much....

Thanks to a fellow DSLogRedux user (Jim C.), it was discovered that, using the new version of the Class II tools (7192, 7193, 7195, 7198), if you data log using a laptop and the dataviewer, you ARE able to log the AFR!

This means that WOT info/recommendations CAN be offered up for those tool users.

It was previously thought that there was no AFR parameter available, since it was not listed in the logging parameters when using just the predator itself, to save logs.

However, as mentioned, if you use a laptop and the dataviewer to record a data log, you do have an AFR parameter available through the dataviewer.

So, we have updated DSLogRedux to look for this logged parameter in those Class II tools... If you logged using a laptop and the dataviewer, and chose to log the AFR parameter (which you should), DSLogRedux is now able to use that AFR data to offer info/recommendations on WOT/PE fueling settings.

The new release is available for download on our site...

A new update is available (6.2.2). This update APPLIES ONLY TO U7192/93/95/98 Class 2 Predators.

Minor bug fixes in data export functionality (only) to correctly accomodate Class II tools when logging with Laptop and AFR parameter. Calculations are not effected.

Please bear with us as we learn all the little eccentricities of the new firmware releases.

The recent discovery of the availability of the AFR parameter when logging with a laptop and the DataViewer applicaton has left some hidden issues that are creeping up here and there.

Custom DSLogRedux apps will be distributed this weekend to those that have donated to support our efforts!

VERSION 6.3.0 RELEASED 12-13-2008...

LTFT average determination has been updated and improved. DSLogRedux now calculates two independent LTFT averages (assuming bank 1 and 2 both exist and are logged) as before. However, the LTFT adjustment recommendation is now based on the average of BOTH trims, rather than on the value of each trim independently. It was found that this provides a more robust trim recommendation and improves consistency.

A fellow user discovered that when using OpenOffice as a spreadsheet program for his CSV logs, DSLogRedux would fail. After viewing the raw csv log file that OpenOffice produced, it was found that it actually saves out it's files with double double-quotes, instead of a single double-quote like MS Excel. Well, the double double-quotes caused DsLogRedux to fail. This is due to a bug in OpenOffice. This issue has been resolved for our application. DSLogRedux will now seamlessly reduce OpenOffice CSVs.
