You've got 93 octane tune in. Do you have 93 octane fuel in? Good quality fuel? Poor fuel will cause knocking, which retards timing, which kills power. Is this the first tune installed in the truck? If so, drive 50-100 miles and let the truck relearn its new program and them monitor the engine parameters with your Predator.

PS only one post is needed for one topic.

Start with this

http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?na ... opic&t=917

Be patient as well. GM vehicles take some time to relearn their new programs, so after each change you have to wait probably 30-50 miles before you see the full results.

And if you have more questions, don't hesitate to ask.

given the model year of your vehicle and that fact that rips at 2nd gear, i have feeling that you are the victim of GM's torque management. One strategy of torque management is to limit the available torque until the vehicle reaches speed (sluggish off of the line). It limits through your electronic throttle body and spark timing. This makes sense since you stated that the truck really wakes up in second gear. GM is trying to reduce driveline wear and tear by putting torque management in place. I would still do datalogging and analysis with DSLogRedux to make sure that everything is dialed in.

The solution is to join the NO TCM SUPPORT campaign. The Transmission Control Module (TCM) is a separate computer that controls the transmission functions. Currenlty the Predator does not support TCM adjustments, hence you cannot turn off the torque management in your late model truck as you could in the prior generation GM trucks with the Predator. Just put No TCM Support into your signature on this forum like canuckpredator has. Then post all you can on this No TCM Support Campaign Thread here: http://www.diablosport.com/index.php?na ... pic&t=8883.

what optional box are you referring to? If you are referring to datalogging and pc interface with the pc interface cable and power adaptor, then dont worry. that can be easily purchased at local electronics stores like radioshack. You need a DB9 M-F straight through serial cable and the correct power adaptor. If you have only USB ports on your computer then you can try a USB-Serial convertor cable. Just keep the receipt of the USB adaptor as some drivers included with the cable may not work with your PC and you will have to return it for another brand that has compatible drivers with your PC.

Then you can upload your datalog to your PC and use the DSLogRedux software to analyze and give you recommendations for the adjustable parameter settings. The stickies on this forum will help to guid you through datalogging and DSLogRedux software.

I am not saying that you are screwed. I am just saying that you would benefit from having TCM support with the Predator for your truck. Please join the "No TCM Support" campaign by putting that phrase in large red letters in your signature/profile on this forum like canuckpredator has done so that everytime you post, diablosport can see that yet another customer is waiting for this feature.

You may also see a "No TCM Support campaign" thread started that is up to over 19 pages. Keep posting on that thread as well as management needs to see the importance of this to make it development priority. The more posts and pages of the topic, the more attention it will get and new posts will keep it at the top of the forum listings.

I have a question maybe someone can answer or at least guess at. I have a 2008 silverado and if im at a dead stop and just punch the gas about half way The tires will spin for a foot or two then it kinda bogs a little then once it gets to about 5 to 10 mph it rips a**. But from a dead stop if i floor it, it bogs right away and then at 5 to 10 mph it rips a** as well. Is this because of Torque Management or is this something else??? any ideas?

I had the same problem with one of my Corvettes. When we rebuilt the transmission we installed a new torque converter with a higher
stall. That made a big difference. If I remember correct the original converter was 1200 or 1300 RPM, what we put in was a 2100RPM.
