2002 Mustang V6 - Catback magnaflow, motoblue cai, shorty...
U7146 - 2002 Mustang V6 - Magnaflow Catback dual exhaust, motoblue cai, shorty headers, 70mm bbk throttle body, ngk iridium spark plugs, got rid of the 90* catylitic converters and rear converters and installed a pair of magnaflow converters with built in ports for my O2 sensors. I just bought a predator tuner. What are the steps I should take to get all these bolt-ons to work at their peak by using only the predator tuner? Thank you greatly!

Got no answer for my question, but I went ahead and installed newest revision to the predator, and installed the diablo tune on my ride. It felt alot better then the factory ford tune, but I felt with all the bolt on upgrades that I had installed on my car it should perform better. Did some research, did not want to mess with the timing any to avoid detonation, then I reinstalled the Diablo tune, but this time I modified the parameters by increasing fuel richness by one increment on both 2000-4000rpm and 4000-7000rpm, and it greatly improved the performance of my car. Now I believe what I have been reading about Diablosport Predator Tuners. It is a great tuner if you can unlock the secrets hidden inside. After I replace the stock MAF housing, for a 73mm motoblue housing, I will again increase the fuel richness by one increment to make up for the increased airflow. Sooner than later also replace the stock thermostat with a lower temp stat due to engine heating up much faster, and also set the fan speed, with the Diablo tuner, according to the thermostat.

Just an update on what I have done. I replaced the 192* factory t-stat and installed a 180* instead of a 160* stat, you dont want to run to cool so you can get a better ignition. Also turned down all fan settings 12*, which was the differance between the existing stat and the new one. Another problem that I took care of was a slight stall when passing 4000rpm, so on the WOT fuel parameter 4000-7000rpm, I had to increase the richness an additional increment, for a total of two increnents, and left 2000-4000 at just one incement also on the rich side. Tested it on the road and it ran strong. Now I wait until I get the new maf housing.

get a wideband air/ fuel ratio meter and a stock mustang gt 80mm maf meter then have the car run on a dyno and a road test by the tuner

Agreed.

I am not trying to throw my maf curve off to much, so a 73 should give me enough without going for a dyno tune or spending crazy jack on a a/f meter. Going from 550 cfm to 700cfm wont stress the computer out too much, and I should see some noticable gains. I am only doing basic stuff here.
