I read on a post somewhere that if I turn off the MDS, I should also turn off the EGR. Is that correct and if so why?

RE: MDS & EGR OFF???
They are inclusive... if you turn off MDS or EGR, the other automatically turns off... unless that has changed in the past few months??

RE: Is it safe?
MDS and EGR do turn on and off together. I've noticed that when I was modifying the 93 CAI tune yesterday with version 9r08. My first experience with Diablo tuner and all I can say is WOW, what a great product!
My question for Diablo: if your software programmed the MDS and EGR to turn on and off together automatically, does that mean turning off the EGR is safe for the engine? I remember reading a Diablo reply on this subject and the recommedation was to leave the EGR on because there is no gain to the performance anyhow. Someone on the LX forum also posted that with EGR off, the engine will run too hot and that's bad for the engine.
I'd like to turn the MDS off but not at the expense hurting the engine in the long run. Thank you in advance and look forward to your feedback.
