04GT - installed 9r05 now predator is useless. HELP

u7146 9r05 - 2004 mustang GT w/ previous custom tune. Basic bolt ons. Updated predator, went to car, modified my custom tune slightly and went to flash. "Custom tune not installed." then said something about restoring original backup. No problem, tried to install orig. backup and now tool says "Install Back up? No, Yes, Force." Won't actually let me install original back up. Says Original Not installed and the only option is reboot. Cycling power does nothing because it says upon start up "last tune not installed, install back up?" Basically it just loops itself over and over. HELP. Car is running on previous custom tune by the way.

You are supposed to restore your original backup before updating your Predator. You will need to call in to support on Monday to see what can be done. They may be able to force, worst case will require a dealer reflash.

seems like a canned answer...why isn't that stated in your "revision update instructions"? more tech support? sct here i come.

That's what I was scared of....didnt want to install the new 9r05 into my 9r03 without putting back the original factory tune cuz then I would've had to get a dealer reflash and that aint cheap? Good luck brother.

same problem here.guess i gotta call monday and eat humble pie for being an idiot.i realized 3/4 of the way thru the download i had forgotten to restore the original tune.got all excited about the 87 octane tunes, thought i was going to save a couple of bucks,guess not now!

NOTE: Before updating any Predator, please restore the original backup file to the vehicle. Failure to do so may result in a loss of your stock tune, requiring a reflash from the dealer to make the Predator work again.

i called today and the guys at tech support spent some time with me and helped me fix the problem after a few tries.thank you for your patience.
