i have a 300c 5.7 with a cmr tune
ok i did a watch a record on my 2006 300c 5.7 with amoco or bp 93 octane a cmr tune done on a dyno with a dynamax catback with a k&n 63-1114 intake, with full synthanic 5w20 mobile 1 and mobile one filter and it shifts at 5500 rpms thats were my max horses are
from start to stop from 1st to 2nd shift to 3rd shift down a frontage road.
my knk st retar is 0.00 for like 3/4 of the run then i get 2.00 ,1.50,.50,1.50,
then .50 then 2.00
knk_max_tot is starts at 15.00 then like almost the end it gradually goes all the way down to 6.50 then starts to climb back up to reach 15.00 at end
knk_sns_v1 is starts a .08 then goes to the highest 1.79
knk_sns_v2 is starts at .08 the flucutates from .32 to .63 the highest was 2.32 then for a mil a sec a back fluctating to 32 back to .08
knk_tot_ret is takes awhile it stays at 0.00 for while then goes to 127.50 then 126.00 then 127.50 126.00 for split second then reads 0.00 the rest
exh press is starts at 99.40 then like right on shift seems 132.00 was the highest then going in and out to 122.40 then stays around 100.40
OIL_AIR_FUEL starts at 0.07 then hits 0.08 then back to 0.07
knk LT retar starts 0.00 and stays at 0.00
does this sound lean or pretty good thanks for your help im new to this any help would be a great help
ps what is oil_air_fuel and why doesnt it move lol
reason is i cant do a good burn out it like it hits 2500 or 300 and thats it with esp button off i just hit the button to turn off traction control
burn out seems like 5 feet long maybe i guess it hooks but when she was first dynoed it tor tires up rwhp made 292 and 346 torq at the rear but orginally she was cmr tuned on 9r02 and had mikel redo it for the calibration for 9r08
im wondering if i lost power

RE: i have a 300c 5.7 with a cmr tune
The PID's to watch are KNK-ST and KNK-LT along with ECT, RPM, MPH, Base Spark and Actual Spark at cylinder 1 and IAT which is intake air temp. KNK-ST up to 4* is acceptable or normal and can be false knock. It can be tuned out with better gas and or the addition of fuel in the rpm range that it occurs. KNK-LT this is long term knock retard and is not good to see. If you are not using an OIL CATCH CAN then get one most of these guys will tell you that. Then look for better quality gas. You may see KNK-ST at the shift points which seems to be the norm. Those other PID's you are logging are useless. I watch the IAT because I moved my sensor further up the air stream. Remember the Catch can and do more log runs before making adjustments. If anything try the 91OctaneCai tune and see if that helps. That tune has less spark advance.

I think your knk_tot_ret readings are what I call a "jumping needle". I don't think the ECM was actually reporting these number but might have been noise on the CAN bus. Anyway, the numbers look pretty good and it's what most of the 5.7's will see. If your ST Knock retard stays below 3 during a WOT run and only begins to report it near the top end of the RPM range for 1-2 shift, then gradually drops off while in 2nd and sometimes rises again just before 2-3 shift then that is pretty darn good, I'd say. jtfinklea is correct when he says drop some of the other PID's, they are useless for us.

if my car is set for cmr tuned to 93 oct how can i use 91 can tune isnt that a waste of money for my cmr tunejtfinklea wrote:The PID's to watch are KNK-ST and KNK-LT along with ECT, RPM, MPH, Base Spark and Actual Spark at cylinder 1 and IAT which is intake air temp. It sounds like its running good. A max of 2* ST knock is not bad at all. Im seeing max of 2* ST on my CMR tune on a hot day. When its cool out I see maybe 1* on shifts. I tried the new 9r08 93CAI tune wih fuel set at +5 +11 +11 and I get a max of 4* at times on a hot day and max of 2-3* on a cool day.

SRT8Tech: That's really good on an SRT8. They are notorious for KR. Good Job.SRT8Tech wrote:It sounds like its running good. A max of 2* ST knock is not bad at all. Its amazing what good gas does. I switched from HESS gas to EXXON and the ST knock went down by 4-5*!!!!!fordomatic69 wrote:SRT8Tech: That's really good on an SRT8. They are notorious for KR. Did you reset the adaptives? Sometimes after the car adapts to your driving habits, people report the car feels sluggish. Then if you reset the TCM with the predator or pull fuse 11 under the hood for a few minutes which resets even more than just the TCM, folks reported that the car takes off like a raped ape. It's been a source for debate on here and there has been no agreement amongst the gearheads but perceived power is just as important as measured power so I say, can't hurt so what the hell?

Well, your raw data numbers are good from the logging. The only way to really know for sure is to go back to the same dyno and test. Then compare the new numbers with the old to see if 9r08 did anything.
