When you say the tuner has "TCM support" what, exactly, does that mean? Most of your competitors have some TCM adjustment as well (firmer shifts, higher 1-2, 2-3 at WOT, etc.). Does this tuner go beyond that?
The Predator itself may not have that much more adjustment but with custom tuning your CMR dealer has access to the entire TCM calibration, with over 350 parameters that can be edited to make the tranny do just about anything you could ever want, which nobody else can do.
How about making "Tow/Haul" disable BOTH OD gears, not just 5th? That would be a good start.

I realize most of your effort and customers are interested in speed. What I'm interested in is something that will fix the crappy DC TCM software so I can drive the truck up a hill without it shifting into OD.

Jebb. Your haul button should disable MDS/O.D.

Your OD off button should just kill O.D. ....

Do you have the tow package?

I have an '04. Tow/Haul only disables 5th (2nd OD) in these trucks. This has been discussed at length on Dodge Talk. When DC made the upgrade from 45RFE (4 speed) to 545RFE (5 speed) they apparently forgot until '06 that Tow/Haul needed to be changed as well.

It makes for some miserable mountain driving. I basically have 2 choices - put it in "drive" and deal with the upshifts to 4th (requiring frequent pedal kickdown) or keep it in L2 and let the motor scream continuously.

When DC designed the TCM software they apparently only tested it on flat ground.

So I just read something and I hope they are wrong but there is a rumour out there that the 03's aren't gonna be supported upon initial release.
Can somebody please let us know if theres any truth to this.
Thanks.

trying to get the predator to work with 03 through 08 has been part of, if not all of, the delay in release... I could be wrong but that's the feeling I've gotten from the many threads about it's release and lack there of. I don't think that after all this time and effort they are going to abandon the 03 now..

It would be nice if they would delay the '03 so the rest of us don't have to wait.

LOL, I'd agree with ya but I think there are a lot of 03 guys out there that would rather they didn't delay it for them....

I guess they could just do a firmware update to cover 03's.

From a marketing standpoint, they need to have one tool that covers all years. It keeps production costs down, keeping the tool within a better reach for budgeted customers.

If our predator is like the LX guys then I don't believe they have a 91 oct. tune, I could be wrong...
