Who wants an Economy tune
Am checking back for status on an economy tune for the u731. I have tried the perf/econo tune on my 06 ctd w/ 35s, but the mileage is a disappoinment. I was avg 16.5 around town with a light foot, Stock is about 17.5. When I initially installed the tow tune, mileage went up to 18.5 - 19 mpg in town. Lately I am noticeing that slipping to 17.5 as well. The improvement in economy is what intrested me in the predator.
I contacted Predator about writing an economy tune, something that will have the power but while cruising or under light load will maximize economy. They are going to write one but the more people showing intrest will speed the process. If you think this is a tune you would like then post a reply or a new topic requesting it. With the shift on the fly option you can add have the best of both economy and perf tunes.
Thanks

RE: Who wants an Economy tune
I am all for that. My truck gets used 90% of the time for hauling kids to school and the wife to work so I really could use the best possible economy! The other 10% is towing or hunting so it definately wouldn't be a problem to change tunes as necessary. I hope this one catches on and I look forward to seeing a new download in the future. Personally I am still waiting on the rough idle problem to be addressed also. I know they will get to it eventually as I haven't seen a company with this good of customer service in a long time. Thanks Diablosport!

I am sure Johan will get around to posting some tunes up for these soon.

I have the U7130 and I too, have to admit, that a 100% economy based tune would be a very cool option. Just something that tighens up the injection event(s) and may even do away with non-power related fueling in general. If a little pressure helps too, so be it. That would be very cool to have as an option, say, when you're going on a trip, etc....

A tune that uses the puck switch mabey? Stock = econamy, notch = mix, 90hp = preformance.

Did anything ever come out of this thread? I'm new to the predator/puck arena but and all out "economy" tune option would be great. With Diesel hitting #3.69 / gallon here and extra 4-5 MPG would also help in the "return-on-investment" theory. I liked a thread about upgrading the driving producing better MPG I read somewhere here.
