can a man that took his truck back to gm for a new computer and tune put the predator back on with the 9r05 and forget about the update.

well, I assume you COULD as long as the CAL ID on your PCM is supported by the tool's revision.

NORMALLY, it will just fail to write the tune if the truck's/car's CAL ID is not supported, but shouldn't disable your truck if the CAL ID of the new ECM isn't supported.

You'd just be left with an untuned vehicle.

You could give it a shot.

DISCLAIMER: Notice the words could and should.... it seems right now that things are in a minor state of "flux" with the GM Tech II and the Y Motors.

did you restore the original backup to the truck first, to unlock the predator???

if not, then no... the predator will still be locked to the old/original ECM...

nope didnt restore the original cause trucks pcm was dead. i had the expert mode unlock the predator lol. mike helped me out and unlocked it cause he felt sorry for me i guess. thank god he did id hate to buy another predator. i have paperwork showing i got a new pcm so shouldnt be a issue if anyone says anything. but im scared to try it again lol

Hey Gump I am in the same boat. New factory PCM and my Predator is reset and has 9r05. Just waiting on you man. Factory tune with different tire size is a pain when going by a trooper. Post when/if you try to install tune.

I skeered i dont ever wanna lock it up again if the diablo guys says its ok then im good i guess stock really sucks now that i used the predator

Mike said not to mess with it till thry figured it ok theres something up with gms new tune it locks up the pcm for some reason imma wait til the update i think

Yeah i am pretty sure the predator, nor any other GM flash tool will work on your truck right now, we are working on a fix for this.
