shifting problems

Post by zachzinda »

I tried running the 100hp tune in my truck but after two weeks the transmisson still won't shift properly it feels like it is slipping shifting into 4th. Also it jerks hard when comming out of cruise control. Does anyone know to fix this. It seems to work fine with the 65hp tune.

Thanks Zach

Did you try the 85hp tune as well? Try that and see if it does the same thing.

I don't think I have the 85hp tune. I believe I just have tow economy and the 100hp.

I have the same problem with the jerking when I turn off the cruise control with my U7165. I finally tried the 100hp tune the other day and didn't notice anything different. I usually keep it on the economy tune. I thought about reinstalling update r03 that originally came with my tuner, since I noticed the best response when I first insalled it, especially now that I have a set of gauges also.

Well since it has come to this. There's two ways either pedal response or the cruise thing. Which would like?

The linearity of the pedal is what causes that as well as the added mass fueling... The pedal ratio (actual vs commanded) used to ratio out as you went up until you got the full throttle... I make it 1:1 so it responds to pedal movement like any other car or truck should. That is what is causing it... It also seem to lose some midrange when you put it back to stock.

I just tried the performance tune and was having the truck surging/sputtering so I pulled over to put it back into the 60hp tune. Is there a way to get the 85hp tune as was mentioned above? The tune that had the most performance was the 100hp version r03. My info is VXAP2N2 and SN d009dd4
