U7146 Should I update?

Post by 4648 »

I've got a U7146 predator with revision 7r05.
My car's a 01 Mustang GT. Off road x-pipe, Magnaflow cat back, ported plenum, 75mm throttle body, drop in k&n, 3.73 gears, j-modded valve body, auto.
I've got the rear o2's turned off so I'm really hesitant to upgrade. That and I run 13.4's in the quarter.
I was wondering if I could save my current tune to my PC. Upgrade the Predator, then transfer that tune to the predator and download the same tune to the car. Thus dissabling the rear o2's and saving the adjustments I'd made.
Love the predator, but I find file tranfers to the PC, very hit and miss. I'm guessing that the new revised crom files address connection issues?
Or should I just leave well enough alone?

The ability to turn off rear o2's is removed from the 9r01 and up revisions. You can thank the EPA for that. This would have to be addressed with a custom tune.

If it isn't broke, don't fix it!

Thanks for the reply.
The interface with the car works great. The tune works great too.
Interfacing with a PC though, :lamer: seems very hit and miss. I'd just like that part to better. Oh well.
