CEL and code P-0148

Post by Dodgezilla »

As I was leaving for my trip last week pulling my trailer I got a CEL and this Fuel pressure code immediately as I got on the hwy. The truck seemed fine so I continued on with no other issues. I saw where another guy got the same code while on the highway but he was not towing like I was. Anybody else get this? I had similar issues when I tried to run a TST box on this truck and once again it didn't seem to hurt anything....

BTW, I was on the towing setting with the puck on low. I have to say that the tow setting is not my favorite. It is a little laggy compared to the other tunes but I was too lazy to pull over and change the tune. I have not gotten the newest revision for switch on the fly yet either...

Yep that was me Dodgezilla. Except mine was on the Performance Stacker tune with the Puck on the 50 HP setting. Truck ran fine and the light went off. Image

Hmmm, I hooked my trailer up this morning and got about 10 miles down the road again and got the same code again!!!! I pulled off, put the stock program back in and the truck did fine for the rest of the 400 mile trip.....

Very interesting......

The power is still awesome so I'm not too worried about it.....

I just got back from a 800mile trip, first 400 was tow stacker with the puck off and i had 2 cutouts, not bad ones but enough to feel. The second half I was gonna try the puck on 50hp for a mpg comparson, but about 20miles in it lost power for about 3sec and the SES light came on, It ran the rest of the way home just fine. I checked the codes and got a P0088 fuel/system pressure - too high, and P0148 fuel dilevery problem. I am starting to wonder if there is a problem with the stacker tunes with the puck, cause I got thiese once before when I was playing with the exreme stacker and puck. Just the day before I ran around all day with just puck on 90 and had no problems.
I was not pulling a trailer. I am running r12 because I knew r14 was having problems.

I have not had any of the surging issues or cutting out issues. That's why I have not downloaded the new program. I can live without all the new features. i just want the truck to continue running right. The tune on the fly is the one thing I would really like so I don't have to sit there in a hot truck for over 10 minutes changing programs though....

I went back to revision 7 and have not had any "shudders" at all. The glitch in revisions 12 and 14 is definately the tune on the fly feature. I hear you on that though Dodgezilla.... the tune on the fly is definately nice as well as the tire size feature for us guys with larger than factory tires. I hate sitting in the truck for 10+ minutes with no AC while putting in a different tune.
