Ok, I'm an automotive illiterate, I own a 1998 Mustang GT and a U7146 tuner. Three questions:
1. I have an old version tuner with only one performance tune, does the most current version have tunes for different octane levels? I can only get 91 where I live. If not I won't invest in the USB cable.
2. I will be installing a BBK CAI soon, will I need to modify any tune parameters?
3. I just installed different tires/wheels, but I think the diameter is the same as the stock tires/wheels, do I need to modify any parameters?
Thanks....

1. Yes, new rev has 3 tunes.
2. Skip that, and buy something a little better, without a big curve in front of the MAF.
3. Nope, and on 98s the speedo is mechanical, so it cant be changed through the Predator anyhow.

Not so much a restriction as the fact that it puts a big curve in front of the MAF which causes turbulence and degrades the MAF signal, especially at low engine speeds, often causing poor driveability that generally cant be 'tuned' out.lazorrazor wrote:Hi Mike, how goes the battle?
Is the curve on the BBK tube that much of a restriction?
My 2004 Stang GT had one on it when I bought it, what brand would you recommend as a replacement? It's stock except for the CAI.
Any thing with a straight shot before the MAF is an improvement.
