canned performance tune question

Just trying to better understand before I install.

I am Planning on installing the 93 Octane CAI tune on 2009 Dodge Challenger R/T with manual transmission. I also plan on changing the thermostat to the 180T

On the first time setup, I feel comfortable flashing the above custom tune...but don't fully understand how to adjust the fan cooling?

If I do the initial canned tune first, and then would like to adjust the cooling at a later date, can I just go in and adjust that parameter?...If so, does an entire new tune need to occur or will it remember it has the 93 octane CAI tune and just adjust the new request?

It makes perfect sense.

You can first load the canned tune as is. Later you can modify parameters (fan settings) and reload the tune. No problem. The tunes are always in the predator and it takes about 5 minutes or less to load a tune to the car (it just loads a copy to the car). When you make changes with the handheld (modify parameters) it keeps those changes in a "list". As it loads a tune to the car it applies those changes to the copy being loaded to the car. The changed parameter list also remains on the predator.

Every time you load a tune the changed parameter list is applied to that tune. If you go to load a different tune to the car the Predator knows that and asks you if you want to "reset parameters". It's asking if you want to delete (or not) the changed parameter list so you don't inadvertently apply it to a different tune.

The fan settings (turn on/off temps) are in the list of parameters you can change. For those parameters the handheld will show the current value when you go to change it. For example it would show the stock setting of 201* for the low speed fan setting. Your stock t-stat is about 193*. So if you get a t-stat that opens at 180* (note: that the motorad 4128 is actually a 185*) then you'd probably drop the setting from 201* to 188* or so. You're not going to screw up anything with fan settings so you might want to fiddle with it to get it to where it keeps temps where you want them without the fans running all the time (not that that would hurt anything, but the noise is annoying).
