I was just talking to Russ/DamnitsgotaHemi from HTC last night and hopefully you guys will get the TCM and Idle support the 03s need very soon. I know the 6 year gap has to put a damper on things but DSP would probably sell quite a few programmers more if DS could possibly get this done soon.....
RE: Re: RE: 2003 dodge ram hemi
WOW:
Ive been waiting to put a my 260 back in my truck for almost a year now.
If they actually supported the 03s,I would jump right up to a 210x.
Hers hoping.

Another thumbs up for the Idle adjust. Come one, that doesn't have anyhting to do with the TCM does it? I left my superchips on and overwrote it with the diablo. (I left superchips at stock, and raised the max shift points), so I still get 6200 out of the truck when I am hand shifting on the track, which is great, so I dont need any of the TCM crap. LOL.. BTW, leaving the SC on my truck was by accident, but has become a blessing for me.
RE: Re: RE: 2003 dodge ram hemi
Dang, I know my cam would like to rev out to 6200 rpms again. However, I wonder how the diablo or cmr tuner could make adjustments if they release tcm control.
RE: Re: RE: 2003 dodge ram hemi
temp fix just stack programers just like damn's i to am stacked using a hypertech as well as the preditor hyper is on first on stock tune but now have the avaiabillity to + - 500 rpm, top speed, and firmer shifting then add the preditor to tune the motor

i believe when they say they are working on the 2003 and 2004 tcm support. i'm switching from sc to the predator due the the fact that i don't trust what sc has to say anymore

Hope it happens sometime soon, really need that cam back in my truck.
Re: RE: Re: RE: 2003 dodge ram hemi
I am right with you, except I am not putting in a cam anytime soon (trust me I would love to). However, it is frustrating when the cmr tuners who are around to help us really dislike working and writing tunes for the 03s.catsltd wrote:Hope it happens sometime soon, really need that cam back in my truck.

If they can give us 03s idle adjustment,we can run any cam we want.
Im running heads, and the fuel adjustments in the software is all you need for basic tuning.
I ran the comps 260,but the low idle drove me crazy.Even though i had the misfire codes tuned out with my psc.
It still was not right.
The 260 or franks sidewinder are great cams that dopnt need much if any tuning ,but they need idle adjustment to keep misfire code from popping up.

Honestly, unless you guys are talking crazy cams, idle speed adjustment is not keeping it from being tuned.
A properly tuned cam should be able to idle right at the stock idle speed....

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: 2003 dodge ram hemi
I only have the 6.1cam. It has difficulty idling at stock idle. I havent seen a p0300 code since I have gotten a tune on the predator, however now everytime I come to a stop the idlle goes down to around 450 rpms and sits there until I start going or give it a little gas to go back up to 600rpms. It drives my tuner nuts and he has tried several things to correct it. From what I have seen on the wideband is the af goes completely lean as I am coming to a stop. I dont know what that means, but I didnt have this problem before.

I would imagine if that lean condition was brought under control, it would idle much better.
