Questions about adjusting the LTFTs...

Post by SiscoKid »

Whats up guys. So Im kinda intimidated by this whole adjusting my LTFTs and have several questions on doing so, so here it goes. First off, what parameters do I need to log and adjust for an 08 silverado 6.0L with a CAI and a TBS, also getting a single side exit exhaust soon. Second, once Ive logged everything, I know I have to load the data into my pc but I dont have Excel, am I still able to load, view and adjust my parameters? Also, Ive read 06MonteSS's thread on how to do everything, and he states that he no longer adjusts his WOT fueling because the necessary adjustments were made in the LTFTs, does this go for my truck as well? Lastly, and sorry for so many questions by the way, summers are pretty hot and winters are pretty cold here in the windy city. Once Im dialed in for the summer, is it going to be necessary to do more adjustments come winter time? Hope I didnt over do it here, Im just not to wise when it come to vehicle computers and adjustments. Im more of a bolt on kinda guy... Thanks again...

you don't have to have excel... if you just follow my wirte-up and log the parameters I list - including long term fuel trim bank 2 since you have dual exhaust (i.e. 2 CAT's) - then you use the dataviewer to download the log from the predator to your pc, then from dataviewer go to FILE > Export to CSV...

then, use dslogredux to open and analyze the log file and it'll tell ya what you need to adjust your injector slope to.

or, you can just post your log files up here and I'll take a look at 'em for ya if you want.
