Will U7151 work on 2007 F-150s using software upgrade "

Post by camilomachado »

Hello everyone,

Can someone confirm that software upgrade "r28" allows the U7151 Predator to be used on 2007 model Ford F-150s? I have just purchased an '07 SCREW with 5.4L engine and I really would prefer to purchase the Predator over the SuperChips programmer.

I tried searching both this forum and other websites trying to find the answer to my question before asking. As you can gather, I did not get a concrete answer, so I am hoping someone can clear this up for me before I get the wrong product.

Also, will I need to purchase the PC interface kit in order to upgrade the device to Release 28?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Currently the 8r28 revision supports all but one calid in the 07 trucks.
You will need the cables to do the update. You can purchase them through your dealer or find part numbers for them at Radio Shack on our website.

Thanks

Thanks Mike! Got a Predator on the way. I am installing a tonneau cover and a Volant CAI this weekend. This is my first truck ever, and while I'm impressed with what Ford has done with this truck overall, the throttle response and gas efficiency is definitely lacking. I'm sure in conjuction, these mods will breathe new life and hopefully, if I can stay off the pedal, I'll even see a little bit of MPG improvement.
