Monitoring and adjusting KR.

Post by oddwraith »

Just wondering (already read the sticky :) ) what I should be looking for. I know you want it to read under "1" but what are normal values to see for kr under wot and at gear shifts. It seems to contradict itself, it says to look for kr and expect it to be under "1". Yet it says to see some KR under wot is normal? Isn't it only under wot that you can check kr to begin with? I'm a little lost and find that the spark adjustment section is not a thoroughly explained as the injector slope adjustment section. Any help or tips here anyone?

Side note: if I load the factory tune back on, can I get THIS tune back when I want it? Just wondering since I love this tune and have to reflash my pcm for dealership purposes. How do I get my custom tune loaded back into my car? Can I? or just the slp performance tune and I'll have to dial everything in again? Thanks for any help. :)

1) So no one can point me in the right direction in terms of monitoring and adjusting KR? Just want to know what i'm looking for and should I be monitoring it under wot or part or both? What values should I have in there to be fine?

2) If I load the STOCK tune back into my car for dealership service, can I load the now modified and dialed in perfomance tune and still maintain ALL of my previous setting including ltfts?

Please help.

look for any KR at WOT... part-throttle doesn't matter... will have some when lugging the engine and shit... no biggie...

at WOT, it's normal to have a little blip when you first mash the pedal to the floor, and also during the shifts...

ya don't want any more than 2.xx KR really...

and once you restore your original backup to the car, the predator resets itself and you lose all previous adjustments you've ever made, so you will have to do them all again when you reload the diablo tune later.

Ahhh I see, so can I just try to remember the settings and enter them? Or should I re-log everything again?

if everything is good as it is now like you have it adjusted, go through all the adjusted parameters you've done and write down the settings you have them at....

then when you reinstall the tune at a later date, you can just modify the tune to those same values/settings when you reinstall it....

Perfect! That's what I was hoping for but wasn't sure if that would work. Thanks :)
