Dead Battery while monitoring
I setup my gauges and used the monitoring feature for two days. Then one morning my battery was completely DEAD. If I jump start the car, it's OK until I leave it overnight, then DEAD again. If I unplug the Trinity and leave it overnight, no problem. I did verify the unit appears to be turning off, and back on when the var starts. I have the latest updates, and this happened even before I installed a tune. I had to burn a full tank of 87 octane before installing the 93 tune, and this happened before and after the tune.
Am I missing something or does someone have any advise? The monitoring feature is the only reason I have this instead of a Predator. Plkease advise! Thx.

No, sounds like you have a bad battery or alternator.

Well, I did say "If I unplug the Trinity and leave it overnight, no problem". The car is brand new. I'm not saying it's not the battery or Altenator but without the Trinity plugged in I have no problem.

Not sure man.
I have left it plugged into several vehicles for days, never seen an issue.

)* Charger
Its an 08 Dodge Charger RT. I can literally unplug the Trinity, leave the car overnight, and have no trouble the next morning. I can plug the Trinity in, and the next morning the battery is completely dead. I have done this the past several days, and I'm sure of what I'm say. I'll probably return the Trinity once I get a chance to return the stock tune.
RE: )* Charger
Try disconnecting your positive battery cable for 20 mins, then connect a test meter - one side to battery post, one side to positive cable, If everything is normal, you will read less than 35 milliamps, or .035 amps. If higher, something is drawing current. Test both with and without Trinity connected. Should point you in the right direction.

I just had our engineering manager test this, here is what he found:
I just measured mine on the bench: approximately 150ma sitting and approximately 120ma when the screen goes blank. We rate the Trinity for 500ma operation and 150ma blank so that is verified (again). If you let your car sit a full day (24 hours), not just overnight, the Trinity would draw 3600mah (3.6 Amp/Hours). This is approximately 1/30 of a really cheap car batteries capacity and, compared to the cranking amps, would not even be noticed. So it is not the Trinity itself.

New Battery
OK, I'm going to get a new battery and try it out. I've been waiting to get an optima anyways. I'll report back here my findings. I'm glad someone else saw this. I figured if my batt was really that bad, my car wouldn't start more often. We'll see. Thanks again.

Still DEAD
OK. On Thursday (7/23) I bought a new Optima yellow top battery from a local store. I drove until Friday afternoon with Trinity disconnected to be sure the new batt was OK. I setup monitoring early Sat morning and monitored while I ran errands. Sunday morning my battery was DEAD. I mean DEAD, not even close, no lights, no crank, DEAD. I jumped my car from my wife's and disconnected the Trinity. I'm no psychic but I bet my car is fine tomorrow morning.
I am very happy with the tune I installed, but not satisfied with this product, and would like to know what my options are. I purchased it from autoanything.com and they will only accept a return if its unopened. It is less than 3 weeks old. Can I return it to Diablosport for another? Can I get a refund?
This tool was very expensive and is not living up to expectations.
I realize that you think this should not be happening, and I agree. But it is. I have included a few pics to backup my story. Please advise and Thank you.

RE: Still DEAD
Do you have any other electronics hooked up in this car?
Can you measure the voltage draw for me?

Dead Battery
At this point I have little faith in this tool, and would prefer to return it. I have done adequate troubleshooting, and even bought a $200 battery when I prob didn't need to. Of course they won't take the battery back, so I'm a little more upset then normal. All I know is my car starts fine without the Trinity, and after 2 batteries I am completely convinced it is the problem. All other electronics work fine without the tool hooked up, and always have.
What else do I have to do?
Please respect my wishes and take this thing back, IT DOES NOT WORK. Thank You.
