Bump...

Ummm...not sure what else to say...I am 100% sure the cable will seat with a bit of force, I have done it hundreds of times, without breaking anything....

How many of this particular model of "replacement" cables have been distributed thus far? I can't be the only one who has run into this problem.

I would like you to say,

"Go ahead and do what it takes to seat your cable, and if anything breaks, we'll set you up with a new Trinity and cable that do work together reliably", since yours is still under warranty.

or

"We recognize this is a problem and we will get a revision made to the cable connector construction and ship them to all the customers that have had the issues with the fit of the replacements."

How about it? Sounds fair to me...

I have the new cable, and like I said above, I can get the right side in, but the left takes some force/

I know my cable would not seat and i ended up breaking off the clip inside. waiting on word back to see if it can be fixed and if it will be covered under warranty. and since the performance tune is still flashed in my truck i can only use that specific monitor to flash it back to stock apparently. so right now i am stuck here waiting and hoping i can get it back before i pull my 5th wheel trailer in a couple weeks

That's what people want to hear when there are product issues like this. Kudos..., we all understand stuff like this happens with the evolution of a new product.

Feschuk's post validates my concerns.

PS - Looks like I had better "flash" my stock tune back to the car in case something does break. A lesson learned from Feschuk's misfortune with making his cable seat.

Well I picked up my new cable last night and,,,,,,,,,,,,,same issue as Thrill-Ride. But it did fix my lost connection issues.
I haven't looked at it enough to propose a reasonable fix, but initially it looks like the enclosure has a slight concave cuve to it that put slightly more material toward the left side of the connector.

I need to look at this more closely before I do anything, but I'm thinking a few seconds with a flat file will "spot face" the enclosure to "level out" the material around the connector header.

I used a razor blade.

I agree D360, I've been looking at the locking tabs.
There's quite a bit of material on the tips.
I'm thinking that some work with a flat file will probably solve the problem.
I'd hate to start whittlin' on the chassis...

I wouldn't touch the locking tabs, they're too fragile. If they get twisted you're sol.

I took about .01-.015 off the cable connector overmold with a small file and it locks right in. It took about 1 minute.

This is so true i finally got my to clip in and it took forever and now im way to afraid to disconnect it it requires a good amount of pressure to get it in and im afraid that if i keep disconnecting and connecting it it will break and then what im sol on 800 bucks

I have "B" and I have no issues..

My new "B" cable is working perfectly for the last week or so since I got it.
I have not had a single "connection issue"
