Hey Johan,
I am very confused. This worked like a charm last time you guys did it a year or so ago. But for some reason, now I am getting the attached error messages when I try to send the new modified tune to the tool.
First I click on "Send Tune to Tool". Then it asks me to select the tune that I want to send. The right-hand message comes up after I select the "no donut" tune. Then it asks me to select my Original Backup file. The left-hand message comes up after I select the Original Backup to be used.
The 2B3L... number is my VIN. I don't know what the other 05030377ag number is. But when I extracted my original backup and the 93CAI Tune from the tool (the ones that I posted earlier in this thread), DSDownloader automatically added that 05030377ag. My tool firmware is 9.12. And I'm running DSDownloader 2.2.1.4.
Any idea what's going on? What do you suggest?

This isn't going to help you but while you're waiting for Johan or someone else to reply...
The 05030377ag is your calid. At least it's the calid of your original backup. So when you upload your original backup from the tool to your pc it automatically names it <calid>.drg
Now it used to be (I think...maybe not) that the tune files needed to have that string up front. You could add whatever text after that.
For example my calid is: 05030232ae
My original backup is named: 05030232ae.drg
I have a custom tune from RDP that is named: 05030232ae_RDP CUSTOM .drg
Tune files for your car have to have your car's VIN number embedded in them. The PCM programming checks the VIN in the downloaded image with the VIN of the car that the PCM is installed in (don't know where that's at, I suspect it is some other module on the bus with the VIN in permanent read only memory?).
So here's my wild guess.
When you select the "no doughnuts" custom tune to download to the Predator, the dsdownloader is parsing it for the calid and/or the VIN to compare with your original backup for a verification match. The parsing is failing for some reason ("no doughnuts" file is corrupted?). Then when you select your original backup file the dsdownloader seems to have your VIN for the calid of the custom tune file and is comparing that for a match with the calid of your original backup.

Good thought. But didn't change anything. I put the CALID at the beginning of all the file names and it didn't make a difference...

Still looking for help from Johan.

E-mail me and i can try to send you the file via e-mail, this will eliminate the possibility of the tune getting corrupted during download.
That or you can also try to shorten the file name some.

Or you could use the FTP site that was so generously offered.
