That's a horrible business practice on DiabloSport's part. They new days, if not even weeks before the release date that they weren't going to make the deadline. Their techs were commenting about that all over the web on other forums. They did exactly that! They didn't even bother to notify their "authorized" distributors ahead of time.

They say they're sick of the "ranting" coming towards them. But with this type of business activity, what else did they expect? It's now not a matter of patience, it's now a matter of many of us ordering a part number for our TRUCK that will get shipped to us, yet now it is NO LONGER THE CORRECT PART NUMBER FOR OUR TRUCK. In fact, the part number for our truck, doesn't even exist yet.

I said it earlier, that's just not cool, not cool at all. Sorry for ranting... but I've contacted the "authorized seller" - (I'd post their name/URL, but the last time I did something like that - diablo moderators send me an email telling me they had to delete the post as the seller I was talking about was one of their major authorzied dealers.. it does have the letters RPM in their name though), and they just quoted me their policy on "special order items"... no returns/exchanges on special order items.

I'm out 400.00. Can I send this back to diablo (free of charge) for the correct programmer when it comes out, as the reseller won't let me cancel the order now, or take it back?

Somethings gotta be worked out here..., as now it's purely DiabloSport's fault I'm out the cash.... SO... please help.

Anyone that ordered a tool for a truck will not be shipped a car tool.
We will fill truck orders once the truck tool is ready.

I already did read your post... and (as I have already stated above, I just contacted them... they won't let me cancel the order at all... It falls under their special orders policy... "no returns or exchanges on special order items"...

So my question stands.... if they ship me the wrong programmer, will you allow me to ship it back to you for the correct one, free of charge? Or am I just screwed. They're protected legally by their posting of their policies. Which, if DiabloSport had kept it's original plan/agreement to make this part available wouldn't have been a problem. But they say, they just sell the part, "... it's my responsibility to insure compatibility... " is their policy claim. Well i had done that, until you changed your release plans.

I thought for sure waiting just before the release date (ordered Jul 30th) I would be safe. I'm sure anyone would. But guess what.... I'm screwed now right.... that's what you're telling me.

PowerBBS did by chance the vendor list on their original ad when you bought it that it was compatible with the Hemi Rams? If they did I could see you'd have some ammunition to cancel the order.

Funny thing is as far as I know the only vendor who charged upfront is HHP, and they're letting anyone cancel minus the 3% they paid the credit cards, but I could see even paying this 3% not being fair.

I am by no means telling you that you are screwed...PLEASE do not put words in my mouth.

If you ordered from an authorized dealer, they should have no problem waiting until we release the truck tools to fill your order.
It's like them saying we only have Ford Predators here, so that is what we are sending you. That would be as useless as a Hemi car tool for you, and makes no sense to me.
We have made all of our authorized dealers aware of the fact that we will be releasing a separate tool for the trucks and have asked them to take this into account.
IF they will not oblige you, please let me know and I will see to it that your unit is swapped out for the proper unit.

I would appreciate it if you could shoot me an email and let me know who this dealer is and what you paid for the tool as well.

Ya, specifically the 5.7L Hemi Truck 2004-2007 With the 2003 available soon.

Finally tho, good news after the storm. I just got in touch with their main customer manager, sales manager and parts ordering manager (hour long conference call) and they have finally agree'd to refund my money, minus the credit card fees. About $32.00! (I was charged on July 31st at 8am for the order I placed on Jul 30th).

I explained to them how today DiabloSport announced the U7135 would NOT support the Dodge Ram Truck 5.7L Hemi and that there was no time frame or new part number for the programmer for this model truck now. They argued, and argued that I was full of "crap" basically. I've been fighting for a refund for over two weeks. Finally one of them came here to these forums today to confirm my info given to them and found out the "truth". They send sent me this apologetic email:
Hi Daniel,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, as we did not receive any notification in regard to this (contrary to what Mike has recently posted on that forum, and we are an Authorized Diablosport Dealer). Consider your order cancelled, and I'm sorry it had to come to this.

I am bothered how they report that in fact DiabloSport hadn't contacted them or informed them of any of these problems. Even dispite Mike claiming that DiabloSport had contacted all it's vendors.

I encourage anyone else who ordered this for their HEMI TRUCK to maybe contact their seller to verify what Mike has claimed. As in my case, DiabloSport hadn't contacted them about anything at all. So you all might, possibly, or possibly not, be in a fight to get your money back so you can re-order the correct part.

You tried your best but I am out, I am going to ask for refund from the dealer tomorrow and go with Superchip. I received something from Superchip tech and I am sure I will find out for sure if it is true but at least I will find out soon.

they don't make a programmer for us, but they don't want we buy something else...

Diablo are stupid... They was thinking than it was customers who where stupid, but they will learn than a Hemi customer who need a programmer is not stupid as they think...

It why many of US began to cancel their orders and other will never order the product...

We had to learn, now we know how poor is Diablo...
