Well, after trying to make the current $40 cable work, and it doesn't. I attempted on 2 computers. I should get a refund from DiabloSport for sending FRI a bad cable and then to me, if this is the case, I will have to spend MORE money to get another cable. I think it is a corrupt software program, not convinced at all that it is the cable. Then I will try again. I am getting sick of having to load every tune in every time I make a modification to my current tune, I have to start from scratch each time.
I am going to get a PC cable that is from Sewell XP driver that sells for $13 online, and you guys sell for $40.00.

What did FRI say? They should be providing you some support since you purchased it from them right?
You think it's a corrupt software program. Do you mean the program itself? or that it got corrupted on your PC? I'd think the former to be highly unlikely since it's working fine for so many people. I'm running XP Pro SP2 and it works fine. (exactly how did you try to update the Predator with the 1.9.9.4 version of the downloader program anyway?)
The cable seems to be a good candidate. (did you pay $40 for just the cable or did you get a power supply along with it?). Some cables are wired differently and some use different chips if they have them. Someone earlier said they got a cheap cable off eBay and it didn't work. They also pointed to a Radio Shack cable that they said did work ($28?). Now you're going to buy a $13 cable that no one has heard of or tried (well, at least me)? What's your time worth.

The Radio Shack cable has a very low rating from customers. The Sewell cable is one that DiabloSport has and has a separate software program for it. FRI isn't going to replace the cable because the cable was given to them by DiabloSport.

Who cares what other customers say? I use it for what you need it for and it works fine.

They have that cable at the Radio Shack near me. I guess I have no other choice but to spend more money and go get it. Thanks for the help, Mike.

If your connecting the device via USB don't use a usb hub; plug it directly into a usb port on the puter.
