Im sorry I didn't explain, The extreme tune does have A LOT of power, I don't mean to sound negative, it wasn't a negative comment, it just got typed not verbalized! of course its fast and more powerful, what i guess im asking is in order to soften the shifting and erratic power gains, did the tune before actually put out more hp. Maybe i just need to drive it more to feel ALL the power!

Are most of you on this site running your trucks on the extreme tune 24/7/365---bone stock??????????

Im really curious? if not then what?

Thank you!!!

Thanks again Don:) :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :drivingbad: :drivingbad: :drivingbad: :drivingbad: :drivingbad: :drivingbad: :drivingbad: :drivingbad: :drivingbad:

Hey Don, still no cruise or TCS. I know what Tige means about the power. I'm not sure about the dyno, but when it did shift properly on the old tune, it was like hitting a NOS button. It shifted so poorly it would scare you though. Power really isn't a concern for me though I drive 120 miles a day.... Need MPG

lol its ok, we need some of the criticism to get the tunes right, you don't need to be sorry. I fully expect everyone to tell me what's really on their mind...no sugar coating it haha. Im making this modded extreme right now, we'll see how this one does.

Maybe its possible that stupid pedal table that was modded for reasons i really dont even know. Ill get it out to you right away (but you'll need to put 9r10 back)

Because I often hook onto a trailer I usually run the 80 hp tune and leave it there. Everything else is bone stock. However on my new truck I am looking at changing the intake and DPF delete kit. We'll see how Don makes out with all these glitches! For right now I've just been playing with the extreme because Ford gets this truck in about 4 hours.

Speaking of Don, how are you making out? Will I be able to throw a program into my new truck and show the dealership what these things are capable of?

Don Fyi Just before the release of the r09 crom, we had an issue with the test crom not letting the truck start,

Not sure about anyone else, But i had a code that said something about throttle position out of range.

Not sure if that is why Brian played with the throttle or made mods to it...

This might be a useless piece of info But just popped into me head ....

I believe Brain fixed it. Im kind of taking both coles and brains tunes and combining them with my tweaks to try and get this right. Coles tune for your cal id had better driveability, so i started with that but brian had some tweaks that helped it for power. This table is an odd one...it doesnt look like pedal position. But i believe its probably wreaking havoc on the tune so hopefully this will straighten it out a bit.

Sorry bill i wasn't sure what you were doing with your truck, your special i gotta make you a special tune since you have a different cal id then everyone else. Itll be an extreme tune for now but once we like it ill tweak it for 80hp then hopefully once everyone likes it ill rerelease the tunes. Bill ill work on yours right now, ill send it your email in 15 mins.

Wow, throttle response is back in a big way. Got my nitrous button back. Shifts are crisper again too. No erratic shifting and no dead spot on the pedal.

Cruise works, TC works. Will have to wait a little bit to report on mileage.

Being a high mileage driver, my main concern along with the other high mileage guys is to see fuel economy improve drastically. 18mpg would be sweet.

18MPG may be a stretch. That is more of a 6.0L possibility, not the 6.4L but I hope you get there. Here in California, diesel is FINALLY cheaper than regular at $2.90 a gallon. Although I still think we are all getting gouged, especially in California (and no it does not have to do with special formulas or taxes). Diesel should not exceed $2.
