yes...

BUT, what was your intake air temp when you did the log?

if the intake air temp was only in the 70's or low 80's, then I would leave it set at the -4 and not make the change... because once the normal warm/hot summer weather hits, then your fuel trims will drop more... so if they're at 1.xxx now, then when they drop you'd be right in the range that you want to be at...

during the normal warm/hot summer weather for your area, is when you want the average ltft's to be around -2...

Lew,

Thanks!

The Intake Air Temp was exactly as you stated. I'll reset my LTFTs back to -4% and wait for the hot temps to come in (someday).

You're my Predator God!

Lew,
When I run my latest Log on DSLogRedux, I get this error message when I click on the "Verify Log Parameters": "The maximum number of parameters handled by this application is 40. Please trim your csv file, or log fewer parameters"

What is your recommendation? How do I trim my csv file?

Thanks

I know, I'm not Lew, but...
I trimmed some of the unnecessary stuff out of the file, and ran it through redux and it came up with -2 slope adjustment
...BUT...The data looks weird!
e.g. log shows 138.6MPH @ 5% throttle/800RPM (time 00:34:xx) then DECREASES to 134.8MPH @ 9% throttle/989.8RPM (time 00:56:xx) then starts to look normal around time 1:28:xx

Also, the time seems to be skipping hundredths of seconds

I think you should log with fewer parameters..looks like you're sending too much data for the recorder to keep up with.

If you want to trim yourself, just open the .csv in excel and delete the extra columns (right click on column letter and choose delete) then save as .csv (ignore any warnings about 'lost functionality')

Hope this helps!

it means you logged too many parameters man... you have to delete some from the log file...

the less parameters you log, the better the log will be, because it will be able to sample/read the data quicker...

for your 04 vette, the only parameters you need to select to log are these:

Long Term fuel trim bank 1

Long Term Fuel Trim Bank 2

Spark Advance

Intake air Temp

MAF Sensor Mass Air Flow

MAF Sensor Frequency (you may not have this one)

Knock Retard

Engine Speed (RPM)

Absolute Throttle Position

Rally2SS,

This is more information than I have. Thanks for your input.

Lew,

Thanks! Looks like I'll be doing some more logging this weekend.

Summers finally here in the Northwest and traffic's getting heavier. I'm trying to carefully log some WOT but it's becoming challenging.

How important is it to log some WOT?

I'll have to find a huge parking lot or try to find a small runway to use!

OK... Now that I adjusted my LTFTs to -6%

Should I adjust my PE -3% in all three RPM ranges?
