Yeah, theres a turbo motor in the car, the 1.4L MultiAir, but not tuned yet. You said it was coming with the Dart turbo.
I'd be shocked if there was an SRT version of the 500. I seriously doubt Abarth would go for that. They're gonna want to be the top performing 500, with their measly 160hp. The Dart SRT will apparently have the Turbo 2.4. Who knows if thats ever gonna come though? They already dropped the R/T with the N/A 2.4, if any were ever actually made.
Either way, he's gotta be talking about the regular non-turbo 500's. The turbos were never offered with an automatic. The American head was pushing for it, since automatics are over 90% market share here (last time I heard it was 92%, but thats variable depending on how lazy we feel), but the schmucks in Italy won't do it. Apparently they like living in the past with their antiquated stickshift. Retarded IMO, since the 6 speed dual clutch is already Federalized with the 1.4 Turbo for the Dart, so it really wouldn't cost them anything and sales could theoretically multiply tenfold. Hell, if SRT got a hold of it, I'd buy a 300+hp dual clutch 500 if I could squeeze in it.
