Did you make the upshifts softer in the 9t03c vs the 93 canned tune that came on the predator? With the 91 and the 93 canned tunes my 07 would chirp the tires every time going into second. Now with the 9t03c it shifts softer. Not that this is a bad thing but was just curious if you made the shifts less harsh. My truck is also staying in 3rd gear when it should downshift into second. Other than that everything is great. Getting 19+ mpg at 67mph with mds turned off with 4.56 gears.
Loaded u7137-9t03c tonight
The shifts definitely seem better, more responsive. I don't know if I didn't give the truck long enough to "learn" the new tune, but there seemed to be a lot of spark knock after updating with 9t03c with the 93 octane tune. I had been running for months with 93 octane tune and fuel and hadn't noticed this. I bumpred it down to the 91octane tune and it seemed to go away.
I will run it for a while on the 91 octane tune and bump it up again next time I fill up and try to get a log to see if there really is any knock.
Safe to assume no change to timing with this tune?
Thanks!

I take that back. I guess i was beating on my truck alot yesterday tires got warm and so did my engine probably. Still chirps the tires. I think you have the part throttle and full throttle upshifts dead on.HoustonHemi wrote:Did you make the upshifts softer in the 9t03c vs the 93 canned tune that came on the predator? We did not change the timing in the 03c vs r02 tunes.
You do have to let the transmission learn for a bit for the full effect of the changes we did in the tcm tuning.

Not if you have an 05 or an 06, you just have to adjust it.DiabloFan wrote:We still need better downshifting. It sucks having to lay into it to get it into the right gear.
Adjust your 3-2 downshift rpm at 45% to at least 3k and it will make a huge difference. I am going to move it up to 3.5k or 4k and try that. Make sure that you move the 55% and the other one more too.

My 07 seems to jerk forwards when i put it into drive. It did the exact same thing stock tune when u first started it and the idle was still somewhat high. But if it had idled down to normal it would not. With the latest tune installed it will jerk forwards HALF of the time when putting it into D from R no matter how long it has been idleing.

If you shift into from D into neutral for just a sec and then put it in R, it might help.HoustonHemi wrote:My 07 seems to jerk forwards when i put it into drive. Mine is a little jerky going into r after I start it. Has anyone else notice the starting rpm is a little higher than normal?
