Those kits make me sick. Domestic owners have to spend $6500 for a turbo kit (German owners even more. Was looking at a S/C kit for an Audi A8 and its $13,000!!) and the Civic gets one for $800.

Tempting. But they declined all my offers. They want too much for it. Told them might as well pay an extra $2K and get new. Oh well. I got a bid in on the Lexus though. Still holding out for that Sea Blue Corolla too!

and there is not enough of a market/interest for it to justify the cost either...

hang on there....civic might be one of the largest markets in the world...but, its not the direction we have been looking for sure.

Never know though, if something were to fall into our lap it might make sense to do something here.

If we know what Diablo wants to make this happen, We may be able to accomadate them in starting the process to the build of the tuner. We need to know though, Pre pay or ?????????

I have several tunes for the R18 if you need them.Free of course.They are Hondata. :idea:They are SRI intake with a Vibrant catback.Over 17 revisions to track the tune process.If this helps.no dis intended I am sure you guys are more than talented to develop a tuner.

That could take some guess work out of it Ghost, Maybe crack the ecu much easier, Get us a tuner quicker maybe.

From your past experience with Diablo Koni these guys sound like the real deal.Jus hope they are as enthusiastic as we are about the possibility of a R18 tuner.I have only heard stellar reports about their products and would be proud to have and use their products. Hondata makes a great tuner but these guys Im sure can develop something just as great.Hell they have a large vehicle application offering.And to crack any ECU encryption has got to be a pita.

Diablo is defiantly the real deal Ghost. My two previous diablo products, A delta 3 stage tuner chip, 1994 Mustang 5.0 Had stock, great for when you get a state inspection, Just flip to stock, Performance, The gains where pure awesome, Econo , +7 in mpg.

My second product was the predator obd tuner, Ford F150 , I had three tunes, Stock, Performance and towing. It far exceeded my expectations with performance and towing. I towed 2,200 pound trailer with atv's every weekend. I didn't even know they were behind me. The tuner was very precise as well. No lean or rich curve. Just perfect.

The same here Ghost, I hope Diablo will go to work for us, I feel if they make us a tuner, Once people see how precise the tune is, They will absolutly go head over heels for it. It brings performance with economy gains. It is not a tuner that someone will say, "I think i feel the gains" They will feel the gains without doubt.

Heck Koni I would be happy to donate anything I could including my car as a beta test driver as I know you might do the same.Come on Diablo please take a chance.I have the cash lined up for a intake,exhaust but cant buy them until a tune is available.Adding these mentioned items without a tune will lean out the ecu.Which is a bad thing.Most people dont realize this when it just adds sound to the butt dyno.I would be glad to donate as much time as I could.

A tune just to smooth things out with engine would be a huge plus, More power would just be an added benifit.
