Can you update the predator using the cars power or do you need to have the AC adapter?

If you are applying a software or CROM update to the Predator then its done with the AC adapter and your computer using the program called DSDownloader. If you have a tune in the car you need to restore the original backup that is inside the Predator to the car. Then apply the new update to the predator via the computer and AC adapter. If you have any CMR tunes that you want to save, you need to back them up to your computer before you apply any updates the predator. Reason is that when you apply updates to the predator it over writes everything in the unit and then it applies the update.
