I bought this unit used from a fellow "L" owner. The unit is an older one ( says 11/11/2005) as I can not DL the newest update. It goes to a blank screen and doesn't do anything with the newest update installed. But that's not why I am posting.
When I try to load a tune onto my truck is says " Tool not licensed for use with this vehicle.It says last tuned written... Factory HP Tune. I assume that means it is unlocked? Any help would be awesome.

sounds like it's locked to the original truck still...

it should say original backup as last tune written if it was unlocked...

you have a locked tool, you need to get hold of the seller...

I was the original owner. He shipped it back to me and I plugged it in. I thought I had downloaded the stock tune before I sent it out, but when I plugged it in, it said 91 performance tune. So now that I downloaded the factory HP tune, it should be good to go, right?

I think there's a selection in the options menu to restore factory tune. Not positive. If you can hold off for an answer from Diablo I'd do it, no need to waste shipping.

Yes, should be good to go, as long as you restored factory tune new owner will be able to use it...

Make sure you "Restore Original Backup" on the truck it is locked to. The "Factory HP tune" is not the stock tune and will not unlock the Predator. It is a basic tune that is prepared for modification by the end user. "Restore Original Backup" can be found in Options, Troubleshooting.
