Backup – Restore Option Greyed Out on inTune i3

Post by ChrisM »

I'm having trouble restoring my factory tune using my new inTune i3 device. When attempting to tune my vehicle, I receive the message:
"PCM Original Backup appears to be corrupted"

Additionally, the "Restore Backup" option is greyed out in the tuner menu. I have my original .drg backup file saved and have tried placing it in the root directory of the device, but it is not being recognized.
I’ve verified that the tuner is still able to:
Read the VIN
Pull stored DTCs (error codes)
This suggests that the PCM is still communicating and functional — the issue appears limited to a corrupted or missing original backup file on the tuner.
Could anyone help convert the my original .drg file into a usable format, or push the correct original backup to my device?

Vehicle: 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT 6.1L
The inTune device is current with the latest updates.

Thanks, Chris M
