T2 ex on 2011 ram 2500 5.7

Post by Jboehler04 »

Hello all been trying to get my truck to run after cam and lifter replacement. (Stage 2 Texas speed cam and phaser limiter is why I need custom tunes) First started with a predator 2 and found out it doesn’t take custom tunes. So bought a Trinity 2 ex and went through the update stuff out of the box but now it won’t communicate with my truck trying to load in a tune. Unfortunately with the hours I work and my truck across town at my works shop I can’t just pop in and out messing with stuff too easy or calling and talking to someone over the phone. I first get a prompt saying
An unexpected error has occurred. Please wait while a failure log is created..

Then after a few times of it saying to put my truck to run position I get the prompt of
No vehicle control modules detected. Exiting
Tuning menu.

Any help would be appreciated but I’d like to get my truck back running normal.

Im curious, was the P2 communicating with the truck previously?

Can you confirm which T2 device you have? 9345-C?

If possible, post the info.xml file from the t2 drive here so i can check it out.

100% sure the key is in RUN position when attempting to tune?
Do the gauges work?
