Anyone have experience using the Diablosport I3 Intune Premium (8245) tuner for the 5.3?
Everytime I plug it into the OBD port and try to tune it, is goes to make a copy of the stock tune, then my cluster cycles and it stops at 9% and says "read failed". I've disconnected the aftermarket radio and that made no difference. Diablo has no weekend support. So I'm just sitting here trying everything I can think until I can call on Monday morning.
Any ideas/help appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, on those 2000-2006/2007 (classic) old trucks - Anything aftermarket installed in the vehicle, i.e anything that did not come from the factory, needs to be disconnected before trying to install a tune...
You need to make sure anything aftermarket is disconnected/pull the fuse for - anything like aftermarket stereo, subs, amps, nav, alarm, remote start, seat heaters, trailer brake/light setup, etc.. anything like that, their wiring harnesses need to be disconnected/pull the fuses for it before you try to tune anything... ----- The issue is that aftermarket stuff like that taps into the ignition wires for power, and that interferes with the communication from the programmer to the PCM and you will get errors...
also make sure everything is turned off inside the truck.. lights, radio, heat/fan/blower, do not operate power windows, put your parking brake on, all doors closed, etc...
Have to have the key turned to ON position, but engine not started/running...
Also, if you have low voltage like from a weak battery in the truck, that can also cause tune install issues.. so make sure your truck battery is fully charged...

Re: Diablo I3 Intune Premium
regarding the radio, its the adapter harnesses that cause issues most often, so make sure that is disconnected from the factory harness.
also try pulling fuses for Radio, radio Amp, and SEO1
