Diablosport intune i3 questions

Post by irahawks »

Hello,
I have a few questions that I've been trying to find answers to, so I thought I would ask here.

I ordered the Diablosport i3 Platinum tuner with a PCM swap, and while I have received the tuner, I am still waiting for the PCM to arrive. I've already plugged the tuner into my PC and completed the necessary software updates. I connected it to my car to ensure it was functioning properly, but it indicated that the PCM was locked and needed to be swapped.

While I'm waiting for the PCM, I have a couple of questions:

1. When I go to upload a new tune, does the tuner automatically back up the stock tune, or is there a separate option for that? I didn’t notice any option for backing up the original tune.

2. When I first upload a tune after connecting it to the car, does it load the "canned" tune immediately? When I connected the tuner to my PC and explored the "tune" folder on the device, I didn't find anything in there. I watched a few videos, and in one, the individual mentioned that when they first connected the tuner after the PCM swap, it prompted them to download their information. I'm curious if that's when the tuner retrieves or downloads the canned tunes.

1. Yes. It may ask to update the pcm or tcm, but after that, it will automatically read the stock tune before applying any new tunes.
2. You'll go to the advanced tune menu and pick from the list of tunes. The tunes folder is empty until you read the backup[ at which point it will export a copy of the stock tune to the tunes folder, and when you load a tune, it will export a copy of the last tune it wrote to the vehicle to the tunes folder as well.

Thanks
