Predator u7135 - tool reset

Post by Z33Fairlady »

Hi,

I have a Predator u7135 unit/tuner.

Unfortunately, I did not upload the original tune to the car, 300C, before I updated the unit/tuner with a new CROM file. This now has caused an issue with the car not being able to start and the unit/tuner not being able to restore the original tune.

I am in the process of getting the car towed and having the ECU reflashed at the dealership.

My question is for the engineers at Diablosport:
Can the Predator u7135 unit/tuner be reset or it is basically a useless unit, not able to be salvaged. I would like to use the unit/tuner once I have my car back from the dealership but before I plug the unit/tuner into the car, I want to ensure it doesn't lock up and cause ECU issues. Everytime the unit/tuner is powered up, it prompts to restore the original tune and I do not wish to plug the unit/tuner fearing that it will mean I will need to reflash the ECU again at the dealership.

Thanks and kind regards,
Bernard

You know you didn't have to take the car into the dealer. You can always Force the car to take the Original program. You just need to call tech support and they'll talk you through how.

You're gonna have to call anyway to reset the tuner, after you Fax in your original sales invoice.

Hi Mike Levy,

Thanks for that. Bummer. Car has been towed away already.

The Predator unit/tuner was purchased from Hi-Flo (www.hiflo.com.au) in Australia, who are an authorised seller/distributor. So all I need to do is fax through my tax invoice to (0011 1) 561.750.9969 and ring (0011 1) 561-908-0040?

Thanks and kind regards,
Bernard
