An urgent question

Hey guys. Just a quick question which i think i aready know the answer.
My Predator came with a drivers cd i am guessing this is only for specific cables?
I have the blue usb cable U7778 i believe and usb is plug and play. I am about to update for the first time

Download the driver on the support page. The driver is to make the USB think its a serial port under windows.
