05, chevy, avalanche 2500, 8.1
cal_id am12592618cga
when i go to change paramenters is pops up vehicle not in database...need to download at dealer.
also...."out of memory"???
bought from summit racing, this week.
need anymore info. just ask.

check your cable settings in the Windows Device Manager for that usb cable...
get into the Windows Device Manager, and check the properties for that usb cable...
make sure the Com Port is set to 1, 2, 3, or 4... and that the Baud Rate is set to 115,200...

Great... I'm getting ready to install mine tomorrow. Bought mine form Summit this week also. Same vehicle; 05 Avalanche 2500 w/ 8.1. We'll see.

Hello ckeene,
Did you download the DS downloader for the newer revison 9 or did you download the program for the older revisions? you can download it from the download page. Then if your predator doesn't connect automatic You have to adjust the com port into 1,2,3 or 4 and the baute rate the same as the software and in the menu of the predator as 06MonteSS said.

And mike how can he upload the backup file? i thought that the predator should connect to the car first in order to make a back up file? or does he has to post up the CAl ID codes?

well i got the tool for my 02 8.1 to work...after i went to the the dealer and paid $75 dollars to reflash it still did not work!!! so... i told the tool it was a auto and not a stick(which it is)thanks to the tech who told me to try it!!!. the truck is freaking awsome now!!!. mpg went to crap cause i cant keep my foot out of it. nothing like a 8.1 and a stick. and thats after i went to a 34" tire.
now if i could get some help with my 05 avalanche 8.1 tool. i sent the file in to have them look at it and no reply in over a month now. HELP PLEASE!!!

The 05 should be done soon, glad you got the 02 working.
May not be a bad idea to try this same trick with the 05 as well...

i tried it on the 05 and did not work. its an lazy butt auto(wifes truck...wont let me put a stick in it). please hurry, my wife has been on my butt about it. kinda sucks having a $400 piece of plastic sitting on top of the fridge and i have been off from work for over a month and had time to play with the truck. well back to playing int my shop.
