NEWBIE: 06 Megacab Diesel w/ 35" Tires, Intake & Exhaust.
I've got a superchip flashpaq. It's extremely powerful. I've gone thru 2 transmissions. The third one may be acting up so I took it off and I'm concerned about detectibility of the Superchip. I've read yours is not detectible. My tuner is on Ebay for sale, by the way. I will be purchasing your Preditor probably today or as soon as I get a response.
1. Do you happen to know if the Superchip is detectable? I may be going back in to have it checked and don't want any surprises. I know, I should be asking Superchip but I figured, if you know, it would help me.
2. What tranny upgrades should I make (also any mfr. suggestions)
3. All the tuners I've used on different trucks, Edge, Hypertech, Superchip, banks LIE about the gas mileage and it's normally 5 mpg off. Does yours lie also? I mean, I can do the math but it would be nice if it was accurate. In fact, I'd pay an extra 100 bucks for the feature to be fairly accurate as it is stock.
Thanks:)

RE: Preditor U7131 VS Superchip
1. Really not sure about that.
2. If you plan to make big power and run the hot 'extreme' tunes, you should look into upgrading the tranny. Some of the users here may be able to provide input on the recommended manufacturers.
3. I dont think it is so much about lying, but rather the fact that those mileage numbers are based on equations that go out the window when the tune goes in the truck. From what I hear from our users the mileage readout with the Predator installed is incorrect as well. Again, it is not done to try to trick anyone, rather it is a result of the way the OEM figures the mileage.
Thanks

RE: Preditor U7131 VS Superchip
My overhead readout is showing me that I am getting over 22mpg right now. I am in fact getting the same 16mpg I was getting before installing the Predator/Puck stack. I'm just happy it didn't go down any!! This combo is just Killer!! I will need a new clutch in short order and my truck is still new with only 12000 miles on it!!!!
Stock transmissions will not hold this kind of power for too long.....
