Question about U7135 9R17 to 9R18 upgrade?

I have U7135 installed on a 2006 300C 5.7 and a 2007 Jeep GC SRT8.
I am currently running versiob 9R17.
My question is there any benefit in upgrading to the 9R18 version on my vehicles.

If 9r17 is working, there is no need to go to 18.

I have heard that as well but I don't think so form what I've seen... I had been looking for some evidence of that but 9r18 is not listed in the revision history yet. Fact is Mike should know!!!
