what engine load for proper ltft log

Post by rjaro7 »

i read in a previous post that i believe lew mentioned something about the guy logged at the wrong engine load. i noticed engine load does change ltft quite a bit. i did my log at 65mph 6th gear and ablout 1850 rpm. is that ok. here is my log. also the new update(9ro8) for some reason has at least double the logging time. b4 i only got about 90 seconds now im into like 3 minutes... is that right?

did mine like Monte suggests. >20% commanded throttle, 5th gear around 2000 rpms. try and keep it as steady as you can. Have you read the 1st sticky?

i been logiing for quite some time but i can tell you a 20% engine load will give me completely different ltft reading over the 6th gear 1850rpm 40% engine load range i normally cruise at.. so again what is the proper engine load for logging?

NORMAL driving/cruising is what you want to do....

if you normally drive/cruise in 6th gear at 1850 rpms, then that's what you want to log at...
