Puck for 2005 Ram

I have a 2005 2500 Ram with a 5.9 Cummings, and my question is can you run the puck at +90 setting on my truck with stock exhaust and stock air cleaner, and auto trans., could and damage happen doing this? I was told by the dealer offering this puck to me that I would see a plus 4 mpg empty, and 2 mpg towing.
