545 RFE dodge ram transmission tuning
With the 545 RFE tranmission being our weak point in the Dodge ram community due to lack of tuning capabilities and the CRAPPY OEM TCM tuning, When will we have solid reliable tuning for the 545 RFE?
Have you guys looked at just replacing the TCU with something else, like this

I was looking at it for a Hemi swap into a Baracuda

That's an easy one. When Superchips releases their trans tuning and Diablo gets their hands on it and reverse engineers it, pirates it, and then repackages it with their name on it then you will have it. Just like every other Chrysler product they offer. Check out the new Jeep JK stuff, it is a identical knockoff menus and all exactly like Superchips. Unfortunately it is very difficult to patent sotware like this, make one slight change and you can call it yours. Too bad Diablo can't figure anything out on their own. I have a feeling once the Superchips trans tuning comes out that all of Diablos pirating is going to come to an abrupt halt.Hemi345 wrote:With the 545 RFE tranmission being our weak point in the Dodge ram community due to lack of tuning capabilities and the CRAPPY OEM TCM tuning, When will we have solid reliable tuning for the 545 RFE?

Are you serious or just ignorant?? Everybody meaning all 100 or so people on this forum. And it does not apply to you since you drive a SRT8 which SC has not released thier tunig for YET. Diablo does not sell a 1/4 of the products superchips sells, they are not even comparable. The ONLY advantage Diablo has is they offer custom tunes, as horrible as they may be, unlike Superchips but that all could change in the future.Quick wrote:so... how come everybody isn't buying Superchips?

Well, yes, I was refering to this forum... I don't know, that's where we're at isn't it? And that's who you're talking to right?SCRocks wrote:Are you serious or just ignorant?? Yes, I have an SRT8 and I've been running a tune for 2 years now. I think SC was just about to come out with their tuner for my car back then. I'm open minded. I just don't have anything to compare with at the moment.
I wouldn't say the ONLY advantage is custom tunes. I'd say being able to load ANY tune into my car could be considered an advantage. And the tuner did come with tunes bundled with it which I used for a good while. What do you mean by custom?
"Unlike SC"? So the SC custom tunes are not horrible? Wouldn't that depend on the tuner? ...since they're CUSTOM? And how would I be able to compare them?
Pretty lame troll if you ask me

Hmmmm, C++ or Linux, I wonder if that is used in Diablo and SC. LOL!!!

I actually have a SC3865 with all the latest updates and it works good. BUT I also have a sidewinder cam and the SC will not datalog anything which at the point is making it useless to me.
Ive got a 7137 on the way now so I can get some datalogging done and get some custom tuning.
So there are pros and cons to all tuners.
