This is my first time using the forum so my bad if this post is in the wrong section. I have had my predator for over a year now and never had any problems up until now.
When I go plug the predator into the car to read a check engine light i get no response from the predator. No lights on the screen, nothing turns on.
I sent the unit back to diablosport for them to fix it, as well as upgrade new software they told me. I just received it this evening and went to use it in my car and when I plug it in, the same thing happens. no response nothing lights up on the screen.
So I was just wondering if anybody could help me, maybe there's something i am not doing or something. Any help greatly appreciated.
By the way the car is a 2000 camaro SS.
Thanks
Mike

Does it boot from a wall-wort power supply? If you haven't got one I would suggest that you invest in one, you are going to need it to download/upload tunes and tool updates. This will tell you if there is something wrong with the tool.
Then you need to look at the diagontic port on you car. Do you have access to any other type of code reader? If not, most Autozone or other national chain stores will check your car for free. Go to one that does this service and have them try their tester.
Just a couple thoughts, hope this helps.

Thanks for the help I am going to go to an AutoZone or something tomorrow just to see if there tool works to see if its my car or the tool.
As far as the boot from a wall-wort power supply, I am not sure what you are talking about. I have the predator that I just plug into my Port under the dash.
Is there a fuse or something that I can check? If so Dose someone know what fuse it would be? And if anybody else has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks
Mike

When I sent the unit in for repair I asked them to send me a new instruction manual, and they did not. Is there anyway you can Access the instructions online or something?LightningMike03 wrote:Page #6 of my user manual lists the power supply requirements. This will allow you to run the Predator from your desk (no auto needed).
thanks
