2008 ford f350 6.4l surgeing

Let me just start out by saying that I own a 2006 duramax and I have had U7186 on if for the last 3 years and I love the thing. Never had one problem or hicup with it.

Well I talked my buddy into getting a u7164 for his 2008 f350 with the 6.4L. Anyway we have been having a problem with the truck surgeing like its on and off the gas at 45 to 50 mph. really bad. we updated to the latest 12e update. Its on the 160hp tune. any ideas?

the older revisions has problems surging because of aggressive timing i put in. How many miles on a truck?

The truck has about 58000 miles on it.

i suggest before the tune is to blame to attempt to run some seafoam through the engine, it helps a lot with carbon build up. As the trucks build up miles the dpf's will eventually get plugged enough to warrant a replacement, regardless of how many times it goes into regen.
