U7198 Locked Question

Hello,

My buddy got a STS Turbo kit and it came with the U7198 for his 99 C5 STS sent a tune over that never worked and the unit was married to the car. LPM did a Dyno tune to get the car going so my situation is. The unit is locked and because the car was HP tuned we cant connect the unit back to the car to return it to the unlocked status.

How much is it to send the unit in and have it unlocked for use ?

what revision is it on??

when it's powered up and is at the main menu, there's a number at the top of the screen, that's the revision number...

I will have to check and let you know but we got the unit about a year ago

the revision will determine if you need to send/ship it in to have it unlocked, or if it can be done over the phone...

When it boots up it says 6.01 then states it is rev V2.13 is this what you were looking for?

yep.... 2.13 is the revision number... that's an old tool...

send it in for the upgrade program to get it updated to the new model... you'll gain the ability to save data logs, do internet downloadable updates, get newer updated tunes, etc etc.

will cost 149 to get it upgraded and unlocked...
