Invalid license-The tune in this vehicle does not match the

Ford 6.0
Version 7r34c
2003 Ford F-250 6.0L diesel

I had changed the tune to Tow mode. I needed to take the vehicle to Ford to replace my 2 batteries. When I tried to reset the tune to Original Backup I got the above noted message and can't change to any tune. I did have the batteries replaced though.
Please advise what I can do to reset the chip so I can change my tunes.

when you went to ford, they flashed a new tune to the truck, over your predator tune.

Problem is, this is a very old Predator, that can not support any of the newer flashes from ford from the past 2 or 3 years.

The Predator will need to be sent in for the $99 hardware upgrade to be converted to a U7165 so it can work with the new updates in your truck.

If they did flash a new tune on your truck, get ready for your fuel economy to go down the toilet. (Until the update Diablo is going to release. Assuming they can find a diesel truck in Florida ) But either way Ford just forced you to have to buy a new tuner or send in yours for an upgrade. Ford flashed my truck without my permission and would not revert back to what I had. Went from 19-20 to 14-15 MPG. I would avoid the Ford service departments like the plague. Since my warranty just expired, I will hopefully never see the inside of another Ford dealership again.

Im in the same boat as jtc1983.... I ate the cost to replace my last Predator, even after i was very specific to not flash my truck.

After reading this, my question is.. i kept the older tuner and I wasn't sure what to do with it, then seeing this post I would like to know what I need to do to fixed...

This tuner is a U7165 from 2007 that I bought from Truck Stop Accesories in reno, NV. v.8r17 born 5-25-2007 (was updated once when I bought it from the dealer)
