Code P0300

Post by nrod »

I just recently got headers with dual 3 inch exhaust borla with no cats. The spark plugs were changed out using oridiums and the 02 sensors were extended. I have a 2000 trans am ws6 auto. The problems that occured after installation is the 2 02 sensors rear made 2 separate codes and also a p0300 multiple cylinder misfire. I bought the slp diablo sport predator from summit racing. It had an option to disable the 02 sensors which it did. SO i erased all three codes off my car and ran it. It misses and backfires and also runs slower than before. I really have no clue on what to do to make the misfire turn off and make my car run right.

The P0300 is not related to the O2 sensors, and is likely being caused by something else.
Something I see alot of is after headers are installed is that a plug gets broken or a wire is burned causing these types of issues.

so i dont need to adjust the fuel or what about turning off the o2 sensors. i have not cats do i just need to put them back on. I took my car to a tune/muffler place do you think they will be able to find the problem or could it just be a tune.

This does not sound like a tune related issue...what happens after you reinstall the stock tune?
